Well done! RoN is awesome! If they won't relaunch it on STEAM we could meet for a TUNNGLE game ;)

You have to understand they're doing it from a business perspective. In the end 500 ppl is not that much. Their goal is to sell thousands of copies and the longer they host it the more it costs them if ppl don't buy it.

... not to rain on your parade. Just don't get your hopes too high. Either way wish you well.

RoN is so old I'm sure the demand for it is next to 0, they've already sold their 'thousands of copies.' I don't think they'll ever submit it to Steam, because basically what you said is right... the margin for possible income is so incredibly low that it's for the most part insignificant. However, Steam has magical ways of making old games interesting & profitable once again.

I personally hope it does, I won't be getting RoN any other way :P (by choice)

and @aj, no commentary from the peanut gallery D:<

You also need to understand that the income doesent neccissarilly come from the 500 people. Ill bet most of them already played the game. The point is to increase the fan base by putting a beloved strategy game back on a popular market place, its not like 500 people buying it. Its about 500 people telling you its a great buy every time you click for more info. I expect thousands to at least be interested in buying it. Even a 5 dollar price tag for RoN would do the trick imo.

Think in statistics tho, a thousand. Maybe two buy it, or they use data space on theor servers for a fps or other classoc game that was more popular as rts doesnt have as big a fan base. I would like to see it come back but im just being a realist. Lets hope im wrong :D

I do agree that RoN has a relativley small popularity and a near decade old rts may not be as proftible as some other games. But the truth is ive seen less popular or commercially successful games kept on steam and up for sale. I just think RoN deserves the chance and has earned enough dough in the past to make a fresh-baked roll :), there are 100,000s of customers on steam, I think a sizable number would love ti dive into RoN so long as they saw a market and fan base to go with it.
