Any chance you could just switch the orders so the first ffa3 goes into the second spot? For example:
yavin1
mp/ffa3
mp/ffa1
vjun3
mp/ffa3
mp/ffa4
mp/ffa5
mp/ffa3
kor2

This would evenly space out ffa3 and put it in the second spot (it's just that ffa3 used to be on during the time I connected the most and it's now Yavin1).

Also gonna post here to see if there is any chance of Yavin being replaced by another map (possibly one that hasn't been used in a while?). As well as the possibility of a new rotation?

The general consensus I've received from talking to players and clan-members is a dislike for the Yavin map, from mild to extreme. I believe this is due to the dark main area, close spawn points and high ping/lag that it causes some players to have. As well as players Being tired of the same old rotation after so long.

I'm happy to post screenshots of conversations I've had with players about the matter if it helps support my notion.

It's nice to have a change of scenery from Yavin finally, so thanks! We are moving in the right direction, but would it be possible to give another alternate for Yavin a shot? Everyone just sits in the temple on duels6 now because it's the only good spot to get some duels in or FFA properly :< (I know, we are whiny babies about the maps... but we're YOUR whiny babies)

I have the perfect destination for everyone! A Box! This lovely destination located on t1_sour is as basic as one can get its has a desert theme, has good fps, and if needed the walls can be whitewashed to make it brighter. Just look at those 32 Kyle's having fun! In all seriousness though I think you can survive the map it only comes up about twice a day :) Image

I've survived the last few years regularly being on maps I don't like(ffa2, ffa3, ffa4, ffa5, vjun2). That's why we have so many maps on rotation, so we don't get stuck with the same one several times a day. I think another solution could be to mix up the rotation so those of us in different time zones are not playing the same few maps every day at our playing times.

Masters (perhaps Guardians?) can skip maps, and higher up can directly load other maps. I have done this on numerous occasions when asked. I can change the starting order of the cycle, but that only means those maps will then get repetitive.

I'm not really sure how to post that correctly, but, can duel6 be changed by another map? Everyone just goes afk in the temple or just quit because of it, the map itself get a lot of players bored and everyone just go in the temple, since it's the only place you can FFA and duel properly. Even tho the map is good looking, sometime everyone just ask to the admin if it can get skipped.

As far as I can tell, negative opinions about the current map rotation arise strictly from the yavin duel map.

A map that most of everyone gets along with (and provides some diff scenery so we're not repeating ffa5's theme in a taspir duel map) is....t2_rogue. Very fun map, engaging environment, and space to do just about anything you want. I'd suggest replacing the yavin duel map with t2_rogue.

I suggest going a step further with this map as well, if possible. Since it's so large, I suggest placing weapon spawn points (sniper rifle, trip mines, blaster rifle, etc.) throughout the map. It'd help spice things up a bit since every other map is lightsaber combat only.

Lemme know what you guys think about that possibility.

I actually REALLY like the idea of ONE map with weapons.
I personally, really like the typical FFA maps, specifically 3-5. I really miss the old Hoth map that you guys used to throw on.
But yeah, too many dark maps, imo.

Just for clarification, what is the full rotation right now? Is it still what mnsomc posted at the beginning of this page?

I like t2_rogue, although sometimes it can feel like the areas are too cut off from one another. I doubt the weapon spawns on the map will happen, too much potential for laming/harassment/etc.

I was looking at some of the older posts and there was mention of staggering the times so that the same map didn't always come up at the same time? Basically make the rotation last like 26 hours, so if you log on at 7 pm every day you'd get a new map every day. Is that possible?

From what I've seen, every time the Yavin duel map comes on players: complain, ask if it can be skipped, or straight out leave the server. I really think it should be changed (I love t2_rogue). I have screenshots to prove this, from multiple occasions.

i love t2_rogue but so many people suffer on it, including me. However, i'd like to point out that because my computer can't handle t2_rogue doesn't mean i willingly choose to go to that map and that it's still one of my favorite maps to play on. Having t2_rogue back would be awesome
